Fancierstudio Industrial-Quality Sublimation Review

When I was looking for a new heat press machine to replace my swing away it was really hard to decide if I wanted to stick with the same model or maybe try a new one. After researching and prioritizing what I thought was most important in a heat press I landed on the FancierStudio heat press.

Ultimately, I decided to go with a different style clamshell to save more space in my workshop and I have to say I am very happy I did. The FancierStudio heat press with the pullout style draw saves on space and I have to say I am very happy with the price. It is a wonderful machine for any beginner on a budget. Its features include:

  • Full assembly upon arrival
  • Digital timer and digital control of temperature
  • Easy pressure adjustments
  • Magnetic draw for automatic opening
  • Platen made with aluminum

Breakdown of the Features

Fancierstudio Industrial-Quality Digital 15-by-15-Inch Sublimation T-Shirt Heat Press, Green Black Review 2017

The Fancierstudio Heat Press Machine is a very well-made heat press that provides advanced features that are easy enough for beginners to use!

This model comes double boxed to protect it from damage and was fully assembled upon arriving to save time and frustration. I wanted to order one that didn’t require assembly as the last heat press I ordered I had to assemble myself and the instruction manual was impossible to follow. It took forever to get everything together and working right.

You can imagine how much easier it was to simply open a box and place the press where it needed to be. Preassembly was a huge load off and a major time saver.

It is an industrial strength machine so you know it is durable and can hold up to high volumes of printing. This model also comes with a digital timer and digital temperature controls in order to ensure consistent transfers onto your products and maximum levels on control for different materials.

The controls and digital programming is a little tricky but once you get everything set up it is a very easy machine to use. The magnetic draw is another plus, as it allows you greater control over the exposure of your product to heat as it will automatically open.

You can also control the pressure very easily to switch out materials and produce a range of products.

The other great thing about it is that it allows you to keep your hands at a safe distance from the hot platen as the draw pulls out toward the user instead of swing to the side like in the swing away models, or needing to be pulled down onto the product like the clamshell style.

The style combined with the automatically releasing magnet on the draw ensure that your hands will never have to be near the platen in order to adjust, change, or work on the material. Simply lay it out on the draw and the automation will do the rest for a consistent transfer.

The Advantages

The first major benefit of choosing the FancierStudio heat press is that you don’t have to worry about finding the time to put everything together, nor do you have to stress about the headache of difficult to read instruction manuals as this model comes preassembled.

The other major benefit to this particular style press is the space you can save without losing any of the machine’s functionality. The magnetic pullout draw can use the empty space in front of your workbench and not take up valuable space like the swing away, or require you to work with your hands below the hot platen.

Practically every feature on this machine is customizable, from the digital temperature to the pressure applied to a variation of heat resistant materials you can control your printing process from start to finish.

Safety is also always a top priority when working with machines and a heat press is no exception.

The pull away draw protects your hands from burning or crushing that you may have to be careful of with a clamshell.

The Disadvantages

For me the only downsides with this machine are the aluminum platen, which isn’t uncommon for presses within this price range.

It takes a little longer to heat up than I would like but since I would have to spend another hundred dollars to get one with stainless steel I don’t think the aluminum is too much of a downgrade for the price.

I’ve seen people also talk about how small the press is, though the dimensions are clearly labeled at the top of the page and it is designed for beginners who may not have a large space to create products in.

The Final Verdict

Overall, I think this machine is perfect for those like myself working in small spaces and those who don’t have a ton of money to throw at a more advanced model. This heat press is great for beginners as nearly everything is digital or adjustable and the pullout drawer keeps your hands away from the plate. I also very much like that it comes preassembled so I could basically take it right out of the box, program it and starts printing.
